Settings

Almost nothing in ZHERO needs configuring. What does is here, in one drawer, and each of the three things you can set unlocks a specific set of features.

This page is the map. The detail lives on the page for each area, because that is also where the feature it unlocks is explained.

Where to find it

Hover the ZHERO floating button and pick Settings from the menu. The drawer opens on the right and, like every ZHERO drawer, resizes by dragging its edge.

What you can configure

TabWhat it is forWhere it is documented
OneAPI CredentialsIdentity base URL, client ID and secret, optional ZPA customer ID. Saving validates the credentials and reports which product roles were found.OneAPI Configuration
URL LookupSwitches URL categorisation on, after its conditions, and controls whether lookup results are synchronised anonymously.OneAPI Configuration and Privacy and Data
CollaborationTurns team features on for the whole tenant, behind a disclaimer that lists exactly what is stored.Enabling Collaboration

Two of the three depend on each other: URL Lookup needs working OneAPI credentials, and its Save button stays disabled until it has them. The tab says so rather than failing silently.

Collaboration is the one setting that reaches beyond your own browser: enabling it enables the team features for everybody in the tenant, which is why it asks you to accept a disclaimer first.

During the trial

Every option in this drawer is read-only during the trial. The drawer opens, the tabs are all there, the current values are visible, and the fields cannot be edited. A banner at the top says so and offers a demo.

This is the same principle as the rest of the trial: nothing is hidden from you, and nothing is written to your tenant. See Trial, Licence and Terms.

What is not here

Display choices are not settings. Dark mode follows the Zscaler console, compact and detailed views toggle where you use them, and the policy table enhancements switch off from the toggle above each table. All of it is described in Getting Around ZHERO.

Nothing in this drawer changes your Zscaler configuration.

FAQ

I saved OneAPI credentials and got a yellow warning instead of a green confirmation. The settings were saved but the connection test did not pass. The message names the failure, and OneAPI Configuration lists the causes and the roles the credentials need.

Can I remove the credentials I stored? Yes, the OneAPI tab has a delete action, behind a confirmation.

Why can’t I enable URL Lookup? Because OneAPI is not configured or not validated yet. Save working credentials first; the tab tells you which of the two is missing.

Who can enable Collaboration? Anyone who can open the drawer with the full version, but the effect is tenant-wide, so it is a decision to take with your team rather than alone.

Are my settings shared with my colleagues? OneAPI credentials and URL lookup preferences are yours. Collaboration is the tenant’s.
