Major performance enhancement with backend URL lookup cache system that dramatically reduces API calls and improves loading speed.

New Features​

  • Backend URL Lookup Cache (Opt-in): Introducing a centralized cache system that shares URL categorization results across all ZHERO users - your extension now checks the backend cache first before calling Zscaler APIs, resulting in up to 95% reduction in API calls and significantly faster page loads. Perfect for multi-administrator environments where only the first admin to look up a URL actually uses OneAPI - all other team members instantly get the cached results from ZHERO's backend, eliminating redundant API calls. All URLs are stored completely anonymously with no connection to your tenant or organization. This feature is opt-in and requires enabling OneAPI credentials for URL_LOOKUP in the settings - you have full control over participation.
  • Smart Privacy Filter: Only categorized URLs are synced to the backend cache, ensuring your internal/private domains remain confidential and never leave your browser
  • Three-Tier Caching Strategy: Fresh cache (less than 30 days) for instant results, stale cache (30-60 days) used while refreshing in background, and missing/old (over 60 days) fetched from Zscaler OneAPI
  • URL Lookup Settings: New settings panel to configure and monitor cache performance with real-time statistics showing cache hits, API calls saved, and sync status
